Backyard Composting

June 29, 2017, 7 p.m.
Euless City Hall, 201 N. Ector Dr.

[Leaves]Each year, nearly four million tons of yard trimmings in the form of leaves, grass, tree limbs, weeds and other organic debris are thrown away in Texas. That amounts to almost 20 percent of all trash in municipal landfills.

Backyard composting helps us use natural techniques to decompose organic material and return them to the soil.

Composting can also help you save money on expensive fertilizers and pesticides, which also helps to keep those chemicals from washing into our lakes, streams and underground water.
